Joint Musical Success!!
Over the first weekend of October 2016, Crewe Brass were delighted to welcome HHS Bischofsheim for a return visit reinforcing the strong links between the two bands that have been present for many years. HHS Bischofsheim arrived on the Friday afternoon and following an intense day of rehearsing on Saturday they joined Crewe Brass at the beautiful setting of St Mary’s Church in Nantwich for a spectacular evening of music. Both bands entertained the audience with a wide variety of music, with highlights including an impressive performance of Procession to the Minster by Crewe Brass, and an encapsulating performance of Lord of the Dance by HHS Bischofsheim. The evening was rounded off with the unusual but undeniably impressive sight and sound of Crewe Brass and HHS Bischofsheim together playing the Florentiner March and a rousing rendition of Highland Cathedral which brought the audience to their feet. The evening was a roaring success and the musicians enjoyed a well-earned post-concert party, with a German Beer or two, which cemented friendships both old and new. Crewe Brass are very much looking forward to returning to Bischofsheim in 2018 to carry on this treasured union between the two bands.
