Crewe Brass is a Brass Band organisation based in Crewe, South Cheshire. The band rehearse every Friday night from 7.45pm until 9.45pm at Shavington Primary School, South Bank Ave, Shavington, Crewe, Cheshire, CW2 5BP.
Starting out life as South Cheshire Young Brass the band was lucky enough to secure sponsorship from the Co-op which supported them as they developed from a youth band through to the band you see today.
Currently competing in the First Section of the North West area, Crewe Brass is well known throughout the South Cheshire area and beyond, regularly performing in concerts and events, from welcoming the new Mayor of Crewe with a special fanfare to spreading Christmas cheer throughout Crewe and other local towns.
The band also has close links with St Austell Brass Band in Cornwall and a special friendship with HHS Bischofsheim, an accordion band based in Crewe’s twin town of Bischofsheim, which they have visited twice to share the stage with the band – the combination of brass and accordion is quite a sight and sound!
Crewe Brass is a registered Charity, number 1125938
